30-Day Challenge, Day 1

Julie DeNeenIn the spirit of growing, pushing the boundaries, and getting outside of my comfort zone I am on a 30-day Doodle Challenge. Today is Day One of the 30 consecutive days in which I will Formally doodle selected Avatars.

It seems appropriate to begin this 30-day doodle challenge with the one who suggested it (a few times actually), Julie DeNeen.

Julie’s the techno-geek who revamped my website, answers my techno-questions, and writes Fabulous Blogging . Her blog’s goal is to “decode the blogging scene.” Because she’s able to write English (as opposed to techno-speak), those of us who are technologically challenged can actually understand what she’s saying.

Julie DeNeen AvatarJulie also blew me away by including one of my doodles in her post about creating a logo.

My “meeting” with Julie came about because of Tammy Bleck, of Witty Woman Writing, who will appear tomorrow.

I love Julie! I think you’ve captured her sassy spirit, Tana.

Awww – you even got my freckles!! Thank you so much for the shout out. Can’t wait to see all your doodles!!

    Tana Bevan - January 1, 2014 - 10:20 am

Lori Jo, Thank you. I agree Julie is great. As for sass, she was definitely bestowed with a generous portion. *smiles*

Julie–It took a bit before I picked up your gauntlet (side effect of being one to mull things over). Still, the deed is done and I am officially waaaaaaaaaaaay beyond my comfort zone. *smiles* As for freckles, they definitely add character. (Hard to believe there were times in history when women went to great lengths to erase and/or avoid them.) Here’s wishing you and yours a great year.

This is a fabulous idea, Tana. What a terrific challenge for you, but a delightful bit of eye candy for the rest of us. Can’t wait!

Shelley — Thank you for referring to the doodles as eye candy (and delightful at that). Makes them seem all the more special. So glad (and honored) to be able to spread a bit of good cheer. Hope you enjoy the Challenge.
