30-Day Challenge, Day 14

Sarah SteenlandDay 14 of the 30-Day Doodle Challenge in which I am formally doodling selected Avatars in the spirit of growing, pushing boundaries, and getting outside of my comfort zone.

Sarah Steenland is another Twitter buddy who lives in Australia. Or rather near the land mass since she, hubby and her two single-digit unschooled kidlings live, work, play, and doodle on a boat they call home.

Taking up residence on the boat was not by choice. (Planning the purchase of a larger boat and an around-the-world sailing adventure to begin in 2015 is.) The losing-it-all-trauma was of the life-altering, let’s-sink-into-the-muck-of-depression type. However, with time, humor, and doodles, all made it to the other side. The family comports itself in a lighthearted, playful, and fun manner as evidenced by Sarah’s delightful doodles.

Sarah Steenland AvatarSarah is a fellow doodler (or should that be a Doodler-in-Arms?) Doodling the Avatar of another doodler definitely adds to this month’s challenge. Then again, that’s the entire idea of a challenge.

Thank you one and all for your encouragement as I continue pushing the doodle-comfort boundaries.

Read Sarah’s story and checked out her site. Love your doodle of her! What a change for her and her family, but she has such a great attitude about it. Loved the rest of her site too. This is so much fun…seeing your wonderful doodles and finding new sites of interesting people! Great job and idea Tana.

Thank you Sheila. It’s said everyone has a story. It’s also said we love hearing a good story. Blogs give us the ability to “hear” stories of people we would otherwise never meet. There are some really interesting people out there. Sarah is definitely among them. So glad you’re having fun expanding your circle of storytellers and connecting with interesting people. *smiles*
