Still breathing as I begin the final third of the 30-Day Doodle Challenge. Today is the 21st Day in which I am formally doodling selected Avatars in the spirit of growing, pushing boundaries, and getting outside of my comfort zone.
I don’t recall where I “met” Catherine Gacad. Actually, it took me a bit to realize we’d even connected. I’d find an encouraging comment posted on my blog, Twitter or I’d find a link to her site and skulk around for a while. (Hard to believe, but when I first started reading others’ blogs, I was reluctant — shy even — about leaving comments.)
A native of the San Francisco Bay Area, Catherine obtained her MBA from the University of Chicago. Her mentor wrote a tongue-in-cheek article on the incoming class bestowing the nickname Vixen on her. It stuck. Within a few months she was selected as the newspaper advice columnist — Ask Vixen came into being. Even after embarking on her corporate career, friends and classmates bemoaned the absence of her column with its helpful, opinionated advice. So in 2005, she rectified the matter by launching her blog.
A custom, unique, one-of-a-kind, made-just-for-you Doodled Avatar.
