Another day closer to the wire. Today is Day 26 of the 30-Day Doodle Challenge in which I am formally doodling selected Avatars in the spirit of growing, pushing boundaries, and getting outside of my comfort zone.
Rachel Rose Teferet is a relatively new Twitter bud. Don’t recall how I wound up on her profile page. I just remember being enthralled by its background painting. Her color choices. Her style. It all appealed to my sensibilities. Made me smile. Made me happy.
I’ve been told you’re an artist when what you create evokes emotion in another. With that definition, I’d say Rachel Rose Teferet is an artist. Ironic since according to her website she “used to be a painter. Now, she paints with words, and thinks a story is worth a thousand pictures.”
While her stories have been published by The Rusty Nail Magazine, Necon E-Books, Uncharted Frontier Magazine, and Cuento Magazine, among others, I still enjoy her art and am presumptuous enough to call her an artist.
Today’s challenge-within-a-challenge is that the avatar I used to doodle her, was a painting. (I am assuming it was a self-portrait.)
A custom, unique, one-of-a-kind, made-just-for-you Doodled Avatar.
