A Habit Worth Cultivating

Regardless of its name — giving thanks, being grateful, or counting your blessings — it is definitely a habit well worth cultivating! Here are four that come to mind from last week.
Love -- being capable of both loving and being loved.

Love — being capable of both loving and being loved.

    Hope -- it springs eternal.

    Hope — it springs eternal.

    Potential -- it

Potential — it’s all in there, if you only believe.

    Possibility -- there

Possibility — there’s always so much more than can be imagined.

Is there a particular thank-you (or two, or more) you want to cultivate?

There is usually a lot to be grateful for, agreed. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the minutia we forget. Reminders are always helpful. (Reminders of the doodle sort being EXTREMELY helpful. *smiles*) As always, thank you for stopping by and commenting.

Gratitude is so important. Just thinking about what I’m grateful for can make me feel better. Love your drawings!

Gratitude is one of those things that can easily be taken for granted. So easy to mouth the words. But actually stopping everything else. Taking a few deep breaths. Allowing yourself a moment to two to not only think about what you are grateful for, but to actually feel it … ah, that is a wonderful treat. One that retains its shine regardless of how often you go there. I am grateful for your kind words. Thank you.

I always love the way you combine whimsy and common sense together for a fun, memorable reminder.

Me? I’m thankful for the people placed in my path that allow me opportunities to listen, help or uplift. Learning to focus outward is a great way to find joy and gratitude even during your own hard times.

So true Kitt, focusing outward, on others, away from one’s woe-is-me pity-party, pulls in the joy, gratitude and definitely puts things in perspective. There are a lot of good people out there. Sometimes it’s easy getting into the trap of focusing on the not-so-nice/good ones, but in the end, focusing on the good ones makes you feel better. I am thankful our paths have crossed — albeit cyberly — as you given me much to think about. Thank you for stopping by.
