Good-bye 2014. Hello 2015.

a.293w good-bye 2014Looking back it turns out 2014 was a year of reveling in the great things that came my way. (Once I allowed myself to be open to potential and possibility. *smiles*)

~~The whole SNOG-eradication experiment succeeded beyond any expectation or hope I had. It has been a joy — an utter and complete joy — to rid myself of those
    *shouldas
    *need tos
    *oughtas
    *gottas
which actually belong to others. The realization I’d been carrying them for years was mind-boggling.

Once I learned to recognize the SNOGs, I quickly realized I hadn’t a clue where most came from, whose world-view I’d acquired, or even why I’d acquired them. Such a relief purging those useless (and in some cases debilitating) things.

I love how light I feel. Free too! Free to explore my own world-view. Articulate my own values. Follow my own code of ethics. It’s a great feeling to start conducting my life in a manner that reflects my personal temperament, values, code of ethics, etc.

~~My ability to both hear — and heed — my Little Voice strengthened and sharpened. I got so much better at actually paying attention to it. That means more good things happened. Yay team!

~~I enjoyed laughing. I laughed more in the past three months than ever before. (A delightful side effect of the SNOG-eradication.) Not only does laughing make you feel great, it evokes a slew of health benefits. Woo-hoo!

~~Delegation is great! (Might even be up there with cruise control for making your life easier.) Turns out for everything you don’t like doing and/or can’t do very well, there’s someone (or many someones) who both enjoy doing it and/or do it well.

Personally I’m thankful for an excellent (and honest) mechanic and a GREAT computer techie. It’s such a relief deferring automotive and computer related issues to others. (An aside: if money’s an issue to pay for delegating, figure out a barter system. It’s sooooooooooooo worth it!!!!)

    a.294w hello 2015

So, my wish for each of you for 2015 and forward is:

*You allow yourself to be open to the potential and possibilities that await you.

*You eradicate the SNOGs (thus quieting your mind and allowing your heart to take the lead).

*You hear your Little Voice and actually heed it. (*Smiles* So much easier said than done, and beyond belief worth the effort.)

*Laughter is a huge and daily part of your life.

*Delegate as much as you can.

My plan/intent is to continue doing all these things. Considering how much better 2014 is ending that it began, I imagine staying on this path will make 2015 even better still. Hence my wishes for you.
    a.295w Happy 2015

yes, i should make 2015 the year of delegation!

    Tana Bevan - January 4, 2015 - 9:08 am

Catherine~Happy 2015. As the woman who recently wrote, “I believe in surrounding myself with people who can help. Yes, it is ultimately on me, but there is a support system out there. Be resourceful and utilize it!” I believe you are a prime candidate for mastering the art of delegating. Enjoy!
