Sometimes the Best You Can Do

Sometimes the best you can do is:

    Hang onHang on.

One Foot in Front of the OtherPut one foot in front of the other.

Clench & Bear ItGrin and bear it with clenched teeth.

This Too Shall PassRemind yourself, “This too shall pass.”

Clapping & CheeringIf that’s all you can do, hold your head high and be proud of your accomplishment. Here’s a big, huge, heartfelt round of clapping and cheering for you.

Kudos for staying in the game (even when you wanted to quit).

Congrats for getting up each time you fell.

And since you kept moving forward–even if slower than a snail–here’s some additional foot stomping and cheering because you kept moving. Woo-hoo!

    Thanks Tana,
So appropriate for me right now- Your cheers and friendly voice on the phone are very much appreciated. You are an angel~

Love this! It reminds me of Pump Up The Volume when Christian Slater’s character says with regards to life… “Getting through it. That’s the point.”

It’s like having a tiny, stick figured cheerleader on your shoulder with teeny tiny pom poms. Go, team, go! Thanks, Tana, thanks!! ;)

Tana I needed that today, thank you.

You’re very welcome Erin. Sometimes the best you can do is simply all you can do. (Though it is nice to have it acknowledged.)

    Tana Bevan - October 2, 2013 - 3:37 pm

Always nice to have more to look forward to than just getting through, but sometimes that’s the best you can do. The intent of the doodles is to offer a bit of levity and good cheer during that passage. Thanks for checking in Kitt.

There are “those” days when it’s nice having your own cheer leading section dedicated to cheering you on! I like the idea of little cheerleaders on the shoulder with little teeny tiny pom poms. Cute. Thanks for that cheerful image Shelley.

    Tana Bevan - October 2, 2013 - 3:45 pm

So glad the doodles were there for you Kath. When “those” days hit, it’s always nice to have someone in your court cheering you on.

Just posted you on my FB timeline:>)

Hugs & hope all is well with you,

    Sheila Bergquist - October 4, 2013 - 9:19 pm

Love these…just what I needed to hear right now! We all need encouragement and hope, don’t we?

    Tana Bevan - October 4, 2013 - 10:04 pm

I take that as a great honor. Thank you. Wishing you and yours cups of joy!

    Tana Bevan - October 4, 2013 - 10:11 pm

So glad they were there for you Sheila when you needed them. Yes, encouragement is one of those things that has an INCREDIBLE return. The return is so high, I wonder why it’s not a more popular commodity.

I heard a charming rendition of Pandora’s box. After all the evils had been released into the world, a butterfly rose from the box and flew into the sky. The butterfly was hope. To this day, any time I see a butterfly I find myself feeling a bit of good cheer with an extra shot of hope. A lovely feeling. Wishing you well.
