When You Feel Safe

c.108w when you feel safe“When you feel safe enough you will cry,” she said.

Imagine releasing all the putrefied baggage and heebie-jeebie makers–a lifetime of fears and sorrows–through your tears. When the deluge stops, breathing normalizes, your face clean, and all tissues in the trash, you’d be exhausted but elated. Wiped out, but invigorated. Not reborn, but released.

Imagine feeling safe enough to dream. To hope. To smile and revel in the joy of being. Imagine feeling happy, feeling good, having fun spending money, enjoying friendships and pursuing passions.

Imagine feeling safe enough to travel, no longer afraid of what might be gone when you return.

Imagine feeling safe enough to trust you will land on your feet.

Imagine feeling safe enough to know you can overcome any challenge that comes your way.

Imagine feeling safe enough to cry.

Imagine feeling safe enough to laugh the laughter of the unencumbered and free.

Imagine feeling safe enough to trust yourself, your feelings, your intuition, the universe.

Imagine feeling safe enough to abdicate control.

Imagine feeling safe enough to flourish.

Imagine feeling safe enough to be present, no longer giving it away by flip-flopping between the past and the future.

Imagine feeling safe enough so money comes to you of its own accord.

Imagine feeling safe enough to handle decisions and options.

Imagine feeling safe enough to tell your story.

Imagine feeling safe enough so all that, and more, is yours. Imagine the amazing life it will be–to sing and dance and write and be content. To travel light, with no worries and no fear.

Fingers crossed feeling safe is as simple as making the decision to feel safe, and once decided, being more than halfway there.

It is said by focusing on what you don’t want–here being unsafe–you actually attract more of it. Saying “I want to feel safe” means “I’m not safe.” If being safe means not being afraid, not being safe means being afraid. By creating a mental image of feeling safe, and surrounding yourself with the energy, vibrations, buzz, goodness and joy of those feelings, they will bubble outward and become your life.

When you feel safe you will cry. Tears of sorrow for all the hurts you never cried because you needed to be brave. Tears of terror for all the fears you kept hidden and locked inside because no one could know. Tears of joy for the hope and promise of a new day and a rainbow. Tears of contentment because you are in the moment, at peace with all who came before…and all who will come after.
